Which comment merely demonstrates your stupidity.

When houses cost £10,000 the average worker earned less than £2,000 a year. So a house cost more than 5x average income.

Now houses are worth £200,000 and average workers earn £30-40,000. So houses STILL cost 5 x average income.

The rest of your posting was merely offensive, and demonstates that you attitude is indeed one of wanting "something for nothing". Get rid of your car, your colour TV, your computer, and all the other trappings that we had to go without - what makes you thing you have some God given right to more than previous generations had?
