Andy Tennant, 54, who also directed Will Smith, 41, in romantic comedy Hitch, reveals that despite getting on like a house on fire with his leading actors, he was embarrassed around them.

“When I first had a meeting with the two of them, we all had dinner together and I sat in the middle. I felt like a dad on an arranged date. They are annoyingly attractive. They’re young, sexy, funny. It gets old after a while.”

Gerard, 40, has said of Jen, 41: “The greatest thing about working with Jen? Her legs. She’s pretty damn sexy.”

But the trio bonded over their love of food. Andy says: “I’ve had the most dinner parties I’ve ever had on this film. She’s a good eater.”
